One: A normal creatinine level should be around 1. A trick of the trade regarding creatinine is to divide 100% by the value, and then that gives you an idea of how much kidney function you have. For instance, if you have a creatinine of 2, then divide 100% by 2: you are running on 50% kidney function. The fact that you have one kidney and have diabetes does not change the "normal" number. ...Read more
Co-tango usually: A patient with one kidney should have a creatinine less than 1.0 mg/dl still. The BUN should be less than 10. The BUN is usually 10 times the creatinine. When the creatinine goes up, the BUN goes up similarly to roughly keep this proportion, in most kidney disease states. Mild elevations of BUN with normal creatinines aren't of concern. ...Read more
What does a co2 of 35 with decreases rbcs, hgb and hct indicate in a 54year old woman with known CAD and two cardiac stents?
What a case typically cause low blood pressure. Is a average of112/63 normal for a twenty two year old female
Less than 120/80: Normal blood pressure (BP) is less than 120/80 for all adults. While we don't treat most unless BP repeated greater than 140/90, we won't treat elderly (older than 60yo) until greater than 150/90 on 2 or more occasions. With that said, recent studies show no benefit to driving BP down below 120/80. Instead, taking enough meds to drop below 140/90 (or 150/90 if older) is fine. Don't forget lifestyl ...Read more

What is a normal blood sugar level for a 46 yr. Old male. And is 300-400 too high? Never been diagnosed with diabetes.
I'am a 27 yrs old married woman. Had a nephractomy at a age of 19 days. And suffering for adpkd for last 15 yrs. What should be my normal creatinine?
It depends : Creatinine level depends on your kidney function as well as your muscle mass. For people not in the extremes of age/muscle mass, a normal creatinine could be anywhere from 0.6 to 1.2. However, it has to be interpreted in the light of a person's muscle mass and age. A cr of 1.2 could be "high" suggesting significant kidney dysfunction in a 90 yr old woman; but could be "normal" for a 30 yr old. ...Read more
