What's the max dose of Ativan daily one could take while beginning 10mg of lexapro (escitalopram)? Very anxious, normal dose isn't as effective right now....
Yes: The average starting dose of Clonazepam is 0.5 mg three times a day, and you are on four times that amount. That may be an appropriate dose if there is severe anxiety. However, both antidepressants (ssri/snris) and psychotherapy are better treatments for anxiety in the longer term. Many people do well with clonazepam, even in that dose. If it is to be stopped or reduced, it has to be done slowly. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
All of them will: The fda has just required all companies making combination products to stop putting any more than 325 mg of tylenol (acetaminophen) into these products. In addition, a single-drug pill with extended release hydrocodone was approved by the fda, but is not on the market. It does not have a formulation that deters abuse, and many of us are very concerned about a product with lots of hydrocodone (possibly 30 mg). ...Read more
Normal dose: There is no such thing as a normal dose. There is a notion of "clinically accepted dosing" but this also variable. The correct way to look at this - is this dose effective - if yes then its fine, if no they it needs to be adjusted. ...Read more
150-300: Most patient will start with a dose of 150 mg once daily for 3-7 days prior to increasing to 150 mg twice daily. Occasionally patients will be prescribed more or less, but this is very standard dosing which works for most patients in most circumstances. ...Read more
What's the dosage equivelant of 100mg Zoloft to the same amount of paxil (paroxetine). I'm aware Paxil (paroxetine) only comes in 20mg, 30mg and 40mg doses.?
No equivilency: They are both in the ssri family of anti-depressants/anti-anxiety medications but are different chemicals and are metabolized differently. Also, often highly individual responses are seen with this family of drugs. If zoloft works for you, Paxil (paroxetine) may not work well. You also may experience new, unwanted side effects. If necessary to change, start at a low dose and titrate to effective dose. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Yes, pretty common: I usually start patients on a half-dose to avoid this, then go to the full dose after a day or two. Usually the body adjusts and the jittery feeling fades after a few days. If it's tolerable i suggest sticking with it. If not, tell your doctor, who may lower your dose or try something else. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Probably not: In my practice, with my patients, I have found that the average dose of Klonopin, or clonazepam, is 1 or 2 mgs per dose, taken twice daily, for a total of 2 to 4 mgs total daily. You need to discuss with your treating physician what your specific diagnosis is, what other medications you are taking, and any other illnesses you may have to find your correct, optimal dose. ...Read more
On trt. Three pills sublingually daily. Each pill is 50mg of t compounded with 0.5mg of armidex. Is this a scary dosage?
Safe testo dose: It appears you're taking 150mg and 1.5 mg. Of testosterone+arimidex sublingually on a daily basis. That is a very high dose of both substances. Typically men with low testosterone are treated with a topical, injectable or implanted pellets. Arimidex (anastrozole) may be used if there is an excessive build up of Estradiol in response to the testosterone therapy but at a much lower dose than you're receiving. ...Read more
