24 hour urine over 3LT. I drink lots of fluids (probably over 3LT daily). Should I cut down on fluids? Is this normal urine output for fluid intake?
More than needed:
About two liters would be sufficient, unless you are engaged in activity than causes excessive sweating or are exposed to high ambient temperature. See this site for more info.

The past 2 months I have eaten a lot less. Decreased frequency in urination despite drinking 3L of water daily. Urine never light/clear. Normal?
Water goes somewhere: 3L a day is a bit much. But if it is that much for weeks/months, then obviously the fluid is not accumulating, and nothing bad is happening. It is a relatively large amount of intake compared to average, but there is no fluid retention occurring, so doesn't seem like there are consequences from it. Cannot say in your particular case. ...Read more

Hello have tonsillitis and have been put on penicillin two tablets four times daily without food, my urine is a florecent. Yellow is this normal?
Don't worry: You might even smell the antibiotic in your urine. The color is usually related to your level of hydration. The clearer the better. If you are fighting an infection it is best to drink lots and lots of fluids. You will be helping your body fight the infection and you will feel better. Most people are somewhat dehydrated normally. When sick, they tend to drink less, and this makes things worse. ...Read more

What diseases could be related with low urinary output, when creatinine, BUN and urine analysis including proteins and clearance are normal? Many thank
Be more specific?: Something's wrong here. Urinary output parallels fluid intake from all sources. If you drink more water, and your kidney function is reasonably normal, you pee more. If you're not drinking much, and it's a hot day and you're sweating, your urine output will be lower than some reference range. Generally, don't try to diagnose yourself or other with labs without sharing a clinical history. ...Read more

Is it normal for 35 y/o non-alcoholic female w/o family history of PKD to develop multiple painful bilateral renal cysts, high urine output & high bp?
Isolated PKD: PKD is autosomal dominant. One PKD allele is all that is needed to express PKD. Expression is over 90%. What you report is not normal, nor usual. Over 90% of expressed, affected persons have an affected parent. Yet, old data indicate that ~10% of affected persons do not have a parent with expressed PKD. Yet new data reveal that PKD gene mutations do exist in a parent without expression. ...Read more

Yesterday urine output normal, today only 200ml, liquid input 900ml, bp90/70, heart rate 120, feeling thirsty and little abdomen pain. Advice?
Rehydrate: It sounds like you have some underlying medical conditions if you are tracking all of these outputs. Your urine output and heartrate sound like you may be getting dehydrated.
