UTI probably: Extensive work up is reassuring. Yes chronic cystitis and urinary tract infection could cause low to mid back pain especially if there is an extension causing kidney infection. Does CT colongraphy see all organs of the abdomen also in result it said upper viscera were unremarkable what does that mean in terms of what they see?
Almost: The CT colonoscopy should cover the entire abdomen. However, to limit radiation and depending on where your colon is seen, the scan may be shortened. Usually it covers everything. Contrast injections are needed to help identify hidden lesions in the blood vessels, liver and kidney which is not used in CTC.
