Normal Cbc Results For A Male Child
Im 32 yr male my cbc test result is lymp 41, MCV 76.5 ,MCH 25 ,RBC 5.95, RDW 15.4 rest values are in normal range. any thing serious ??
Focus on Important v: You need to focus on important values which are Hemoglobin(Hb) instead of RBC count and give us your WBC count instead of lymph count and platelet counts. Rest is not important unless the 3 values I have asked you to focus on are high or low(abnormal) which is not the case with you. So your blood test results are fine. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

3 yr male has a 1.75 cm, firm, smooth, oval, non painful, fairly mobile, swollen gland in groin for two weeks tried antibiotics for a week no result, had CBC normal. doctor wants biopsy is it needed?
Good idea: Assuming this area has been investigated, with some noninvasive scanning (i.e. ultrasound, CT scan) and there has been no diagnosis, it would be appropriate to try and determine what it is. In this instance, the only choices would be to biopsy, or remove it. Depending on the immunization status of the child it could still be infectious, or even malignant though extremely unlikely. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Possible for labs to measure LDH units differently? Child inexplicably ill for months w/normal CBC. LDH in the 600-700s. Dr: "not significantly high."
Non-specific marker: The LDH test is a non specific marker of inflammation in the body. The enzyme originates from several defined sites, including liver, blood, lungs, kidneys, muscle, etc and a further test could define which area is involved. If your kid has had a vague flu like illness with muscle pains, this may be within the expected findings of the doc. A followup test should show recovery ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My child had a result from his CBC and it showed that he has a high white blood count, what does this mean?
My 3- year old child had a CBC test and the result shows that he has a high white blood count of 26, 700. I would like to know what does this mean?
Child, 6,had well check and her CBC 3.5 WBC, other values normal, retest 6 wks. She had the flu (Jan) and had a low WBC. What can cause this? Worried.
Maybe normal: If your child is healthy, values may be normal. Viral illnesses can alter WBC for a few weeks but the bottom line is the health status of the child. However, If there are significant alterations of certain cell lines such a as red blood cells, platelets or significant drop in levels of certain white blood cell types, further evaluation may be needed. ...Read more

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, there does not appear to be any cause for concern about your blood test results. Why were the tests done? Your B12 levels are high, which is not dangerous in itself but can be a sign of liver injury. ...Read more
