My child had a result from his CBC and it showed that he has a high white blood count, what does this mean?
My 3- year old child had a CBC test and the result shows that he has a high white blood count of 26, 700. I would like to know what does this mean?
Child, 6,had well check and her CBC 3.5 WBC, other values normal, retest 6 wks. She had the flu (Jan) and had a low WBC. What can cause this? Worried.
Maybe normal: If your child is healthy, values may be normal. Viral illnesses can alter WBC for a few weeks but the bottom line is the health status of the child. None: The medical causes of 'fatigue' have been ruled out. There are no more tests. If this child is not obese and is not drinking energy drinks or lots of caffeine or other stimulants then this may be their norm during a time of significant growth or hormone changes and one should just watch and observe.
