Normal Bladder Pressure
"i am 33 yrs and my urine flow in the mornings are slower compared to day time where my flow is normal. I feel abit of pressure in bladder on and off?
Slow urine flow: You're a little young for benign prostatic hypertrophy (swollen prostate), and you would be really young for bladder or prostate cancer. Nevertheless, i would get thee to a physician for a digital rectal exam, a psa blood test, and, if necessary, a cystoscope of the bladder to see what gives. This is abnormal for a 33 year old. If office cystoscope is normal do I have to do with hyperdistention to diagnose interstitial cystisis? I have a bit of pressure bladder, i go 6-8 x urine. Can't tolerate tea. Overactive bladder?
Yes: The best way to diagnose ic is through cystoscopy with hydrodistension. It's an outpatient procedure but should be done under anesthesia because the bladder is distended with water under pressure. Mostly tiny hemorrhage spots (petechiae) are seen, sometimes (10%) an ulcer (hunner) is seen. These signs are diagnostic (and a little helpful) for ic. Don't get done just in a medical office. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
