Baby boy head circum. at birth was 37 cm, at 4 mos.- 44.5.Had head u/s at that point.ALL NORMAL.Today at 7 mos. its 47.5 cm if not 48. Developing normally, a big boy - 9.5 kg,72 cm.Should I disregard the percentile charts?Can this increase be normal?

Ultrasound: First question, why US at 35 weeks? Have there been problems with pregnancy? This is not uncommon and not real risk for child at this point. Throughout pregnancy baby has measured small on ultrasound. Now 34 weeks measuring 60th percentile. Why might this be? Scared of having a large baby!
You and dad: Your baby's size is determined mostly by your and dads genetic codes and how they interact. Your baby's percentile means very little in the way of medical risk unless the percentile is at either end of the growth curve. Depends: If it has changed from the 10% to the 97% since birth, I would be more concerned than if it was big all along.
