11yo has pleural effusion/pneumonia. Her BP fluctuated from 107/63 to 107/53. Bedtime was 96/53 then 117/56. Morning 103/48. Fever for 5 days.BP norm?

Teething symptoms: Some children do get a low grade fever, diarrhea and drooling. You can treat them simultaneously. Ibuprofen is more effective for teething than tylenol (acetaminophen). Fever runny nose: Poor baby! You did not mention age. If he is 30 days or less he needs an emergency room visit now. In older babies, who have had contacts with illness, and clear signs of a new viral cold (congestion) we can watch him at home. I'm glad to see he's giving you some smiles. Cold: symptoms as you described will make a baby fussy as they do not like nasal congestion. It does not sound like your baby has an ear infection. Just observe for now and offer comfort as you can. Common enough: Penile erection in any male-esp prolonged erection, called priapism-can be very uncomfortable and painful. Common but not as painful in small children.Try to get child to relax by being closely held for comfort and trying to get child's attention on a toy or something else.Also try not to stimulate penis while cleaning him and while changing clothes.
