Prolactin elevation: A prolactin of 57 is elevated, and can disrupt menstrual cycles, but does not necessarily mean a pituitary tumor. There are many other causes of mildly high prolactin, including many medications, nipple/chest wall stimulation and hypothyroidism. If it is a prolactinoma, it is likely a very small one. Best to see an Endocrinologist. ...Read more
My 10 month old had viral infection with 76% lymphocytes 18% neutrophils and 303 platlet count rest everything normal, no fever now r these values ok?
Ok, but: those are percentages not absolute numbers, which can go still with a viral infection picture. The main issue here isn't the lab result, if your child is fine, then no problem and move on, enjoy your kid ...Read more

80-120: Pulse (rate of heart beats per minute) varies considerably depending on if the child is asleep or awake; active or passive; energetic or docile. It can quickly ramp up or down to adapt to environmental, activity, and internal triggers. But overall heart rate should be between 80-120 around 10 months of age. ...Read more
I have 10 palpable lymph nodes (8 in H&N). Blood results normal. Asymptomatic. First one appeared 7 years ago, #10 1 week ago. No infection atm.
Healthy Immunity: I am shocked that no physician has calmed you down and explained that you are normal; your situation represents a healthy immune system and that you should ABSOLUTELY not be worrying about this. Our immune systems keep us from getting sick every single day. It is always fighting off bacteria, parasites, viruses and other foreign material. If one is thing they can often feel their active nodes. ...Read more
14 mo old boy: chest cough-6months. Noisy breathing since birth. Red, watery eyes-6months. Proj vomit 2 wks. 10 ear infctions. No allergies. Why sick?
ENT evaluation: A history of frequent ear infections and noisy breathing makes me concerned about large tonsils and adenoids. An evaluation by an ENT would be helpful. Fever 103, coughing until vomiting. Diagnosed with pneumonia 10 days ago. Finished z-pack 5 days ago. Suggestions?
Different antibiotic: It is my humble opinion that z-pak is not any longer of value for pneumonia and community acquired pneumonia in particular. Perhaps Augmentum would be more appropriate. Also consider a chest X-ray to see what is happening and adjust therapy that way. Talk to your doctor sooner than later. ...Read more

Go to a doctor!: I'm not sure what surgery you had, but the fact that you're having fever, chills and aches may be unrelated to the surgery, or it may be related. Since it's the second time it has happened, it's worth getting checked out again by a doctor to be sure you don't have a hidden infection related to your surgery. ...Read more
