Is it normal for bilirubin to be high a year after surgery? It has gone down some but continues to be high. Even showing signs of jaundice off and on.

Gilbert's syndrome: It is not uncommon for babies without gilbert's syndrome to be born with temporary jaundice that is not harmful as it clears as soon as the liver function becomes more efficient. Gilbert's syndrome usually manifests it self a little later in life and is also harmless.
