Normal 06 Mo Asymmetric Breasts
Awaiting 6 month FU mammogram (cluster amorphous microcalcs L breast). L breast now abnormally larger than R, visible veins. Cud b cancer or hormonal?
Hormonal: microCa when more than 6-8 in tight region might represent DCIS but not invasive Ca which would show up for the most part as a lesion on mammo. Larger breast probably hormonal but visible veins might represent Mondors disease. This condition is a rare entity characterized by a sclerosing thrombophlebitis which might contribute to altered breast shape. ...Read more

Cause left breast redness, dimpling, little 'pinholes' under breast. Nipple no longer gets erect. L breast hotter than R. Good Mammo 2 Mos ago.
Breast symptoms: Unfortunately, a normal or benign mammogram does not exclude cancer with 100% assurity, especially if the breast tissue is dense. If a patient is having NEW unilateral breast symptoms, I would definitely recommend a visit to the doctor and having this checked out. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
25 yo asian F, 5 wks enlarging and tender left supraclavicular nodes, now ~4cm, matted. No skin lesions, No F/C/S. WBC 6.3, ESR 43. O/W well. Causes?
35, last breastfed 2015, breast implants (12yr)&mirena (1yr). No periods on coil but did spot 10d ago, now breasts tingling, 1 firm &swollen. Cancer?
Pregnancy: When a woman's breasts start feeling different than normally and there is unexpected spotting on an IUD that typically suppresses menstrual periods, the first thing that should be ruled out, is pregnancy. The next step would be blood tests that could uncover a hormonal disturbance as an underlying cause for both symptoms - I am thinking of TSH and Prolactin. Further work up may be needed after tha ...Read more
Recent abnormal mammo, amorphous microcalcs, 6 mnth FU. Benign conditions that cause areola shape change + edges to be less defined, like color bleed?
Tough question: Most important thing is to make sure you get proper follow up regarding those mirocalcifications. I think at some point you may end up having a stereotactic biopsy so that a pathologist can look at what's causing those microcalcs. Concerning areola shape/color fading, I would guess that wight gain, hormonal changes and pregnancy would be the things that could cause the diameter to increase. ...Read more
Irregular periods > 1 year, orange nipple discharge 6mos, &self-diagnosed fibrocystic breasts 6mos. Quit breastfeeding 1.5 yrs ago. What's happening?
Failure to ovulate: Irregular periods usually are because of irregular or unpredictable ovulation, also known as pcos, which is an acronym for polycystic ovarian syndrome. In your particlular case, pregnancy needs to be ruled out and you probably need to see your health care providet to make obtain a diagnosis and treatment plan. About 1% of patients with your symptoms would have an elevated prolactin causing this. ...Read more
2 mos lt. Sh.Blade/neck pain. Lt.Breast microcalcs for 1 year. 40yo dense brst, clear mam&us. Recheck in 6mos 2nd degree bc deaths. Pain related to bc?
Examination bt yr MD: Shoulder/neck pain is unlikely related to your breast unless there is any mass in it. Have your doctor examine your breast. If there is any mass/growth felt there, you may need a biopsy done. Also your breast calcifications concern me....That is usually an indication for a biopsy. If the breasts are dense, a MRI of breast is more valuable than a mammogram to check for a small breast cancer ...Read more
Normal 6 month male w/nl growth and development. Disparate mid upper arm circumference--3 CM difference. Any thoughts? Thanks!
See ortho: See an orthopedist and perhaps a neurologist. Questions to be answered are is it muscle not developing because of nerve issue or just born that way or is there a muscle problem. Is the smaller arm the problem or does the bigger arm have the issue? Can he use both equally? These are best answered with orthopedics and neurology visits. ...Read more

It depends: I would need more information regarding your pap smear abnormalities. it is more likely that your symptoms are due to scaring, adhesions from your cesareans or an inflammatory condition called adenomyosis. Tenderness in L breast in nipple/areola area. It seems to flare before period. Concerned it's only in 1 breast. Normal mammo 7m ago. 38 years old.
Prob nothing bad. : Especially since it seems to come and go. The fact that it flares with your period is also reassuring in that cancers don't usually 'flare' , they just keep growing steadily. Have you seen a surgeon. ? If not get in to see one for evaluation. A biopsy will confirm the area is benign. ...Read more
