Not my 1st choice: I do not like that pill, and it has 30mcg of estrogen and it is 21 days. There are many pills that have less estrogen which is better- less chance for estrogen related side effects. My number one pill i prescribe is loloestin, it only has 10 mcg estrogen which is safer and it has 24 active pills and then 2 estrogen pills so only 2 placebo pills , so you get lighter periods and less chance of a cys. ...Read more

No : Differnet pills, I do not like either of those at your age you should be using the lowest dose pill which is loloestrin 10 mcg estrogen safer for anyone in their 40s and if u do not want kids I do in office tubals in my office takes 5 minutes, easy miss 1/2 day work , no incisions. ...Read more

Whats the difference between cryselle, ogestrel, lo ogestrel, ovral (ethinyl estradiol and norgestrel) and lo ovral (ethinyl estradiol and norgestrel). Do they react the same as cryselle?
Ovral (ethinyl estradiol and norgestrel) had 50 mcg: Estrogen, lo-ovral has 35 mcg estrogen, i never use either of those pills anymore, they both have way too much estrogen in them, I have almost all of my pts either on 25, 20 or 10 mcg estrogen combo pills and I use the 24 day ones not the 21 day ones.Please discuss with your obgyn, generess has 25 mcg, loestrin has 20 mcg and loloestrin has 10 mcg estrogen, the lower the dose the safer. ...Read more
Yes: Lo-ovral (norgestel/ethinyl estradiol) has a good track record and has been used successfully for many years by many women. May reduce effect : The effectiveness of Beyaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol and levomefolate) may be decreased by solodyn oral in some patients thus resulting in breakthrough bleeding/pregnancy may occur. In this patients it is advisable to use extra or an alternate form of birth control. Report any irregular bleeding to your doctor.
