EC: Although there are at least a dozen types of birth control pills that can be dosed as an emergency contraceptive, I can find no source that includes Loestrin among them. RISK VERY SMALL: Risk of blood clots are lowest for levonorgestrel and norgestimate, and highest for desogestrel and cyproterone- but risk for all pills very low--and MUCH lower than risk of blood clots or other complicatons of pregnancy.
