Nordette And Microgynon 30 Are Same
I've been recently prescribed the generic brand of Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) bc pills called Mya. Are they safe to take? I seen online some bad stories about Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol). Nervous.
How many beyaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol and levomefolate) birth control pills can I take that will be the same as taking the Plan B pill?
Ortho tri cyclen (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) and Mono liny Ah 28 are the same birth control pill? Just noticed that ortho was on my prescription and pharmacist gave me mono-liny
They both have the: same medications, but are slightly different. Ortho tri cyclen (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) has a slightly different amount of norgestimate each week and the same amount of ethinyl estradiol each week, as opposed to Mono-linyah, which has the same dose of both each of the 3 weeks. They both have a week of placebo for the 4th week. I would recommend speaking to your doctor to see if this substitution is OK with them. ...Read more
It's okay to use levlen (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) and akamin(minocycline) together at the same time right?
On Yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) and took modafinil. I read it lessens effectiveness of preventing pregnancy and must use protection 2 months. What are the percentages?
Not known: modafinil increases the activity of certain enzymes in the liver that process progesterone, a hormone used in many birth control pills. This can cause progesterone levels to be lower than expected, leading to decreased effectiveness at preventing pregnancy. This has not actually been studied (ie women on BCP, women on BCP and modafinil. How many get pregnant?). No % available. Sorry. ...Read more
Can i use drospirenone with the yuzpe method. i eat 5 yasmillene pills and 11 hours after 6 more.have 0.020 mcg-ethinylestradiol and 3 mg-drospirenone?
Blood clotting: If it were a birth control pill with norethisterone or levonorgestrel in it, I would agree that that pill could be used as an emergency contraceptive. Drospirone has been involved in cases of blood clotting - for that reason I would not feel comfortable with a high dose of drospirenone. If you are on a birth control pill and have taken it as prescribed, there is no need for emergency contraception ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm tired sleepy all the time, no amount of sleep makes me feel better. My legs are swollen. Switched birth control 3 months ago from Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) to byaz
Fatigue : Fatigue can be a sign of more serious issues such as anemia, thyroid issues, infection, etc. Your swollen legs may or may not be related, but definitely warrant a medical investigation. The most worrisome thing swollen legs and fatigue could be a sign of is heart failure, however you would also be short of breath. Lasly, I am not sure if the change in your birth control pill would cause these symptoms, yet it is possible. You should schedule a visit with your primary care provider right away. Best of luck. ...Read more
What is the difference between apri and yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol)? Will I have different side effects from Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) to apri? Are generic birth controls different?
Not much: These two birth control pills both have estrogen and progesterone. They have slightly different types of Progesterone at slightly different doses. Most birth control pills have similar side effects and it is unlikely you will notice any difference. Apri is much less expensive so your wallet will thank you. ...Read more

What is the difference between levlen (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) ED and femme tab 20/100 and do they cover pregnancy the same same way thank you?
Similar, lower dose: Both medications are composed of levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol. The levlen (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) ed has 150 mcg of levonorgestrel and 30 mcg of the ethinyl estradiol. The femme tab 20/100 has 100 mcg of levonorgestrel and 20 mcg of the ethinyl estradiol. Both work the same way, by inhibiting ovulation, and perhaps by changing cervical mucus and making the uterine lining less hospitable to implantation. ...Read more
Is taking two pills of Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) at the same time equal to taking plan b?
No: I didn't see Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) listed on this website, but there are some other examples. Plan b is a much better option and can be purchased over the counter. A lot fewer side effects than taking 4-6 birth control pills. Check out the website though from princeton: http://ec.Princeton.Edu/questions/dose.Html. ...Read more

Took birth control pill 3 1/2 hours late. The pills are a combination of progestin and estrogen. Is it ok to have unprotected sex the same day?
If you want STD/STI: If taking progestin-only pills, it's imperative to take pills within 3hrs of scheduled time each day. In other words, don't wait until 27:01 after previous pill. Combo birth control pills are more lenient tho always better to stay as close to same time daily. However, pills don't prevent sexually transmitted diseases/infections. So unless you want a baby or STD/STI, unprotected sex is never good ...Read more
