Im on norco and Xanax (alprazolam). What are the neg interactions with these Meds?My doc refuses to give norco while I'm on Xanax (alprazolam). I've been on these Meds for yrs.
Potentially lethal: I noticed in the background that you provided, that you are on a mixture of fentanyl as well? Generally speaking, narcotics and opioids don't mix. This is for multiple reasons, but the strongest one is that they have a synergistic effect on the base of the brain, making it harder for the automatic processes that tell your body to breathe to work. There's also some medical evidence that benzodiazepthere's also some medical evidence that benzodiazepines, like Xanax, (alprazolam) may actually increased pain. Is it safe to take norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and soma? What are the interactions between these two drugs. I got prescription from dentist for norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and use Soma for my back. Safe?
Not necessarily: Soma is a very poor muscle relaxant meant for short term use only. It's metabolites are barbiturates , which cause sedation as well as withdrawal. Combine the sedative effects from Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) with the Soma and it may cause increased sedation which could have serious side effects. You should alert you pcp that you are taking these two drugs prescribed by two different providers. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Im developing a sore throat, can i take keflex for infection and norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) for pain? Are there any interactions? Until i have time to get to the dr on wed
Don't take them!: There's no interaction between cephalexin (Keflex) and hydrocodone with acetaminophen (Norco), but you definitely shouldn't take them. Sore throats are almost always due to viruses, which cephalexin won't help at all; it would just make it harder for your doctor ro diagnose you. And a narcotic is giant overkill for a "developing" sore throat. Plain acetaminophen (e.g. Tylenol etc) is enough. ...Read more
I've been taking norcos pills for 2 years and I just found out I'm 2 months pregnant. Should I stop taking them right away or should I wait?
Wean: Neonatal abstinence syndrome ( withdrawal) is an expected and treatable condition that follows prenatal exposure to opioid agonists such as Norco. However why not get off these medications and spare the baby and spare you the worry? I would work with your Prescriber to wean you off this medication now. You do not need to have a baby born with the potential to have withdrawal at birth. ...Read more
I accidently somehow took 2 5/325mg norco. Then I guess I forgot that I took them already and took 2 more. That was 1.5 hours ago, will I die?
Must be careful: Accidental overdose with Norco is one big reason why people are getting hurt and dying. If you are feeling tired, lethargic, shortness of breath, sleepy or other symptoms go to the ER. Most likely you will not be harmed this time, but you must be very very careful with these pain medications. Follow only your doctors regime, don't share meds, don't drink, and use the least amount necessary. ...Read more
