See below : Reactive (atypical) lymphocytes are usually due to viral illness or stressor on the body. It could be due to a medicine reaction or autoimmune disorder as well. Your CRP level of 0.1 is very low which is good. And your ra/anti ds dna are negative. So overall they didn't find anything abnormal and they called it possibly due to reactive process. ...Read more

Stop them: NSAIDs are a poor choice to treat RA. Continued use by a person who is allergic to them may lead to more serious and even life threatening allergic reactions. I hope she is under the care of a rheumatologist. ...Read more

See a rheumatologist: You're right, you shouldn't take nsaids or steroids, but those are lousy treatments for genuine rheumatoid arthritis. You need dmards (disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs) like Methotrexate or plaquenil, (hydroxychloroquine) although "biologics" work better. This treatment must be administered by a rheumatologist. One or more of these won't interfere with healing the fusion. The rheumatologist will know which ones. ...Read more

Diet: I know this might not fall under the realm of traditional medicine, but I have seen rather dramatic changes in patients who undergo a change to a vegan diet. There are some that believe that dairy products in particular can cause chronic inflammation that can worsen arthritis. Two good resources are- the china study and forks over knives. ...Read more

Will noraflex hurt my liver?, having bad liver pain. I have inflammatory liver, fatty liver, and my RA dr put me on this about a month ago.

Probably okay to use: Norflex (orphenadrine) is a drug used to treat muscle spasms. It does not have reported toxicity to the liver, but for long-term use, it is recommended to check liver tests. In your case, your liver disease is likely due to being overweight, with or without diabetes. In addition, smoking is harmful to your liver, especially with another cause of liver disease. See a hepatologist, eat healthy and lose weight. ...Read more
