Is glucosamine chondroitin suggested for my jack russel?

Is glucosamine chondroitin suggested for my jack russel?

Why is the medical community disapproving of glucosamine chondroitin supplements?

Lack of evidence: There is no hard conclusive evidence that they work. Anecdotes do not count.
