I have a pimple-like, non-itchy, rash on my back. Not red or visible from far. Spread to whole back over 2 weeks. No new products or other symptoms.?
Rashes need exam for: Diagnosis. Since it is not itchy or red and located just on the back, it does not sound like allergic reaction or viral exanthema. A common cause of papules on the back is miliaria, or heat rash, which is caused by blocked sweat pores. Alternatively, dry skin can cause blockage of the hair follicle and cause small papules or keratosis pilaris. This is benign, and is commonly seen on upper arms Read more
The Vile Nile Virus: First, remember that a lot of viruses can cause a rash, sometimes itchy and sometimes without many other symptoms but when it comes to West Nile, no, the usual is with other symptoms (fever, aches, swollen glands, fatigue--kinda like Mono)--yes, the rash can itch, & it's usually on the trunk. West Nile itself is usually not dangerous, but 1% or less of those infected can get encephalitis (brain burn) Read more
I have an itchy rash on my face and neck. I haven't ate or used any new products. And there are no other symptoms. What could this be?
Unfortunately the next step is not via computer, but to have a doctor actually view your skin. By seeing the lesions and pressing upon the skin the doctor (like myself in the emergency department) can get the context of the rash. Your description is good, so remember to tell the doctor about your symptoms just as you have written.
Good luck to you. .. Feel better. .. Read more
Infection related: It is not uncommon to develop hive-like rashes in association with viral illness and even strep infections. As the infection resolves or is treated, so will the rash. Non itchy rash flare up 3 times in 24 hours despite antihistamines. Is there a chance that I m allergic to my cat? (9 months old). No prior symptoms.
Rash not cat allergy: If it doesn't itch it's not an allergic rash. The other possibility is that the antihistamines are strong enough to suppress itching but not the rash. Try stopping the antihistamine. If the rash continues to appear and becomes itchy, then yes, it could be the cat. You will want to see a health care professional at that point. Read more

8cm brown-red itchy rash on middle upper back right on spine. No other symptoms. 2nd occurrence this year. Fungal infection?
Red Itchy rash that turned dark no other symptoms but fatigue have been on him for 2 weeks now WBC was high could this be mold realted?
Tick-Born Illness?: I will presume that 'on him' should read 'on abx' for 2 weeks. It sounds as though the treating clinician may have suspected a tick-born source of your rash in the setting of fatigue and prescribed a prolonged course of antibiotics to treat. Mold allergy (any allergy) can cause a variety of symptoms, including rash, but treatment for mold would not require antibiotics. Read more
I'm not showing symptoms of BV or yeast inf, but everytime I have sex my partner gets an itchy rash on shaft & skin. What is it & how do u treat it?
Dermatitis: Is he using a condom? It could be a latex allergy. Are you using a lubricant? It could be an irritant dermatitis due to this. Sometimes, the seminal fluids can be irritating on their own, so maybe he is reacting to your seminal fluid. He can try a condom, if he hasn't been using one, and see if the reaction gets, better, worse, or the same. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am breastfeeding and just getting over a itchy rash all over my body. Today I feel hot and cold similar to flu like symptoms without the aches pains?
Possible mastitis: Any time you get chills and fever while breast-feeding, your gynecologist will want to know about it. It's quite common for a nursing mom to develop an infection in her breast, called mastitis. Chills and fever could be an early sign of this, but you will probably get local soreness and redness of one breast and body aches too, if that is what you have. If not very sick, probably a routine virus. Read more

7 year old developed itchy rash first on back of neck later in day it spread to arms, stomach and legs no other symptoms, what is it and what to do?
Hard to say: If the rash is moving from a local to a general distribution it is unlikely a simple contact dermatitis like poison ivy. Generalized rashes can be secondary to an infection (virus or bacteria) a food reaction or bug bites. Without examining the rash it is hard to speculate on a cause or specific treatment. If it itches, Benadryl can be given for comfort. Read more
