More age dependent: The types of ovarian cancers one can get depends very much, nearly exclusively, on the age of the patient. Thus a nodule in a 21 year old means a very different thing from one in a 65 year old. Average age for diagnosis is 63. If you're asking the question for yourself, most common ovarian cancer at your age is a germ cell or stromal tumor. Smear and pelvic examination where the doctor felt 3 nodules. Diagnosed with polycystic ovaries many years ago. Could this be related?
I have a complex cystic structure on right ovary with mural nodules what does this mean it is 10.7 CM .

What is the left adnexa? "exohytic cyst w/ solid mural nodule in the left adnexa likely arising from left ovary" what is this? And what does it mean?
Unclear: The left adnexa is the area on the left side of the uterus which is where the left ovary is located. It's not entirely clear that that mass is. Your doctors are probably not sure either. They may suggest a few things such as more imaging, repeating the imaging in a few months or a diagnostic laparoscopy. Hopefully it's not anything serious. Good luck. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
