See below: Glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in the body. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Glutamine is produced in the muscles and is distributed by the blood to the organs that need it. Glutamine might help gut function, the immune system, and other essential processes in the body, especially in times of stress. It is also important for providing "fuel" (nitrogen and carbon) to many different cells in the body. Glutamine is needed to make other chemicals in the body such as other amino acids and glucose (sugar). ...Read more

No Magic Pill:
I joke with my patients, "there's no magic pill." however, medications for weight control can be a helpful tool when used in the context of a bariatric weight control program.
They have little value, and may actually cause weight gain when used alone. For some, they help with symptoms due to their effects on serotonin and norepinephrine receptors; which control mood, drive, motivation and hunger. ...Read more
Marketing; NoneExist: Humans=Hi-Tech; medicine=Low-Tech (http://goo. Gl/Blh6rW). No effective/safe treatments yet exist (either prescription, much less OTC) for many common human behavioral problems, despite marketing to the contrary. If they did, obesity might not be such a huge problem & huge marketing demand for such agents would not exist. Only agents I have found effective: liraglutide+pramlintide titrated by user. ...Read more

Can I take weight loss meds with zegerid? I need an appetite suppressant or something but not sure which meds I can take with the zegerid
Needs monitoring: You need monitoring when taking antacids/ppi like zegerid with common prescription appetite suppressants because they can increase the level of the suppressant.
