No Withdrawal Bleed On Pill
Can I have a withdrawal bleed from pills and still be pregnant? Period on 5 Barely took any pills ovulated on15th been spotting since 25 period due 31
Unlikely: It is difficult to know if you ovulated because you were taking some birth control pills which should have suppressed ovulation. Spotting would certainly be expected in this situation. Very hard to predict if you will get a normal period on the 31st...I would think not. If you don't, I would do a home pregnancy test before starting your next pill pack, but I'm betting the test will be negative ...Read more

Why does clear thick mucus sometimes come out during withdrawal bleed while on triphasic pill? (Like ortho tri cyclen (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) lo)
Light menses?: Women on hormonal contraception generally have relatively light menses. Also, the healthy vagina and inner labia make mucus etc. To lubricate and moisten these areas. Estrogens may induce additional mucus production. A combination of less bleeding & more mucus production might make the mucus more visible. As long as the mucus is clear & you don't have other symptoms, don't be alarmed. ...Read more

Will a pregnancy test be accurate 14 days after sex and 3 days after a missed 'withdrawal bleed' (as on pill and missed one 4 days before sex)?
After Missed period.: Home pregnancy tests can show positive as early as 3-4 days after implantation. Implantation generally occurs 6-12 days after ovulation. So if the egg was fertilized right at ovulation and you used the most sensitive home test it could be positive at 9 days. On average it is 13-14 days after fertilization/ovulation when it is positive. But, wait until you have missed a period to test. ...Read more

Clear jelly like CM 2 days after withdrawal bleed stopped and on 7th inactive bc pill day. Ovulation??
Not necessarily: This most likely means higher estrogen level, which can be from ovarian activity, but not necessarily ovulation. Just to be safe, might want to use extra method of bc for seven days. ...Read more

Normal: If it's only the fourth month taking it, your body might still be making itself comfortable with this new medication.
