No Period 5 Years
Past week=sudden increased appetite. Like I feel like a teenage boy about to go through a growth spurt. Got period 5 years ago, so prob not growth?
Not growing: 5 years after your first period you should be fully grown so a growth spurt is not likely. If you have an increasing appetite it is probably from other factors. Increased calorie needs can result from new levels of exercise, new body requirements (pregnancy), or nutritional deficiencies (iron deficiency anemia). ...Read more

I have been delayed my mestration period for 5 years? What is the possible cause and what should I do?
Unsure: From your question I'm not sure whether your cycles have been longer than usual for 5 years or you haven't had a period in 5 years. The causes are very different. You could just naturally have a longer cycle. Up to 35-42 days (depending on your source) can be perfectly normal. 5 years is not. See your doctor for a full history, exam, and appropriate testing to know for sure what the problem is. ...Read more

See below:: It's not unusual, especially in the first 2 years after menarche, to skip periods or to have an irregular menstrual cycle. I'm 21 I have had mirena (levonorgestrel) for 5 years and 4 months I haven't had a period for 5 years but I have been having some spotting. Is my IUD still working?
Don't count on it!: At 5 years and 4 months, your Mirena (levonorgestrel) is probably still secreting enough hormone to affect your periods but not enough to keep you from getting pregnant. I wouldn't count on it protecting you from pregnancy. If you like it, you can have it removed and another one put in. Best wishes! ...Read more

Can I be pregnant because of a missed period after 5 years of regular cycles? 2 neg hpt /8 days late. No stress/new dieting either. Hope that helps
Home pregnancy tests are very accurate.: They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. if you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more

I haven't had my period in over five years, but two of those years I suffered from anorexia. Is my period ever going to return? I am still under 21..
Not sure: It may not. The changes which occur to cause someone to stop having periods sometimes last a long time. Even if behaviors change there can be a long lag until the body gets itself organized (sort of speak) to have periods again. Polyps where?: If the polyps came from the cervix or uterus, then if the pathology was benign your doctor will probably just wait a little while to make sure the bleeding stops and does not return. If the polyps came from elsewhere (such as colon or nasal polyps) then the bleeding is not related and you need to see your gynecologist. ...Read more
