What does a Lt ovarian complex cyst showing internal septation with homogenous echogenic texture with no vascularity mean. Please help.Thanks.
Not simply water: Ovarian cysts come in different flavors. The simple ovarian cyst usually contains a water like substance and not internal echoes on ultrasound . Complex cysts may have blood on the inside called hemorrhagic cyst. With time, the blood degenerates and fibrin may be inside. The septa are occasionally cell walls or may be thickened or very thin. To be complete, cancers can be cystic. yours like blood. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Pls. exp. scattered hyperechoic lesions within the liver parenchyma with the most well-defined in the right hepatic lobe with no internal vascularity?
Radiologist: It's best to have your physician sit down with the radiologist and review your scan with him. The radiologist will interpret the findings and, if deemed advisable, recommend additional studies or referral to the appropriate specialist. Your findings suggest multiple benign liver cysts which may require no treatment or further additional testing except repeat follow-up scans in the future. ...Read more
46m,Ultrasound "There is a subtle and vague hypoechoic area, 1.5 CM w/out internal vascularity in right hepatic lobe of Liver, otherwise unremarkable"?
Not specific: Hypoechoic liver findings could be many different things and can't tell based on that description. The lack of internal vascularity is somewhat reassuring. Your doctor will decide what to do with this but a follow-up with a CT or MRI to better characterize it might be a good next step. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

"Probably benign": is the BIRADS classification(category 3)you are referring to. By definition, this implies a chance of malignancy less than 3%, and practically speaking it is probably more like 1%. The standard recommendation for a category 3 lesion is short interval follow up. Many consider a septated cyst a BIRADS 2(benign) lesion requiring no follow up, so the overwhelming probability is that you will be fine ...Read more

I have a 2.4 heterogeneous hypoechoic solid nodule with cystic components and no increased vascularity or interna calcification. Shortness of breath?
Not sure: I'm not exactly sure what the question is but i don't like the sound of the mass you describe. It sounds as if this was a breat ultrasound finding. Is that true? If so, what was the physicians recommendation? If my assumptions are correct, there is no definite clear relationship to shortness of breath from a physiologic standpoint, but shortness of breath should to be evaluated. ...Read more
