Tough question...: I imagine you are aching to know if everything's ok with your pregnancy. While it is generally possible to see the heart beating at about that time, the problem may be dates: if you are three weeks rather than seven, for example, you won't see much on ultrasound. Worrisome: Normally a fetal heatbeat can be detected by a good machine at about 5 weeks. Sometimes technical difficulties make this harder.
