I'd think that my eyelids were too low, but it may be my eyelid crease that isn't big enough. Could lack of sleep be the cause or.? What should I do?
How does the doctor hide the stitches from Asian eyelid surgery suture method? I've been reading about different methods of Asian eyelid surgery. If I understand the suture procedure right, the stitches are what hold the eyelid into a crease. So they're p
All my life I have suffered from very dry skin (worsens in the winter months) on my face an very bad dandruff on my scalp and hair line. It gets red an very dry an sometimes painful on my eyelids an the crease of my nose an chin. Recently it spread to
I just realized I have a small red bump under my eyelid about where your crease is, its not painful at all, how do I get it to go away? Or what is it?
Stye: Sounds like a stye, they can be painful or not. The best therapy is actually just warm compresses and it should go away on its own. You can also try ocusoft lid scrubs (an ophthalmologist suggested those to me when I had one).
Chalazion keeps popping and growing back. Now looks like a part has broke off and formed a small lump higher up in eyelid near the socket crease. Help?
Several events: A chalazion is the end product of an inflammation of the lid termed a stye. If the body does not conquer it completly it can wall it off making a cyst called a chalazion. There are many lid glands each of which can do this so its probably not a part break off but a new event. You are in a phase of formation of these and should get the advice of an ophthalmologist the treat and prevent them.
I'm short sighted, I have glasses. Got blurred vision in both my eyes. Have pain in only one eye, (crease of eyelid/feels like its above the eye)?
Recommend evaluation: I would recommend an evaluation by an optometrist (optician in UK I believe) or an ophthalmologist, as such symptoms could be as simple as a form of a headachr, but as serious as intermittent angle closure. Intermittent angle closure can occur in far sighted individuals and requires attemtiom
After I sleep fluid goes deep into my eye sockets causing hollowness creasing. My eyelids look droopy and smaller too what is the name of this disorder?
I wonder: Well I suppose you are referring to your rather deep set eyes that appear small. The eyelids may appear to droop over them (called ptosis). Enophthalmos is the term applied to eyes that are sunken within their sockets, usuallY as a result of orbital trauma. Your eye size does not very unless they are severely dysfunctional. I hope this addresses your question.
Skin type: Some individuals happen to have "looser" skin on their eyelids. It is not a sign of disease, but simply how your skin sits on the surface below it. If you are concerned, see an eye doctor to have it evaluated.
Lid creases: There are cosmetic creams that claim to temporary reduce wrinkles (for about 3-4 hrs). But most of the time it requires cosemetic surgical intervention. Would suggest you see an ophthalmic oculoplastics specialist for evaluation.
Oculoplastic Surgeon: The upper eyelid crease is usually 8-10mm from the eyelashes. This distance may increase with common conditions such as blepharoptosis (eyelid drooping) or with significant dermachalasis (excess wrinkled skin of upper eyelids). If the crease is too high, the results of eyelid surgery are not ideal and usually looks somewhat unnatural. An eyelid specialist is best suited to evaluate and correct.
I have a small red painless bump in my lower eyelid margin (kind of the crease of the eyelid) for almost 2 months. What could it be?
Many things: There are many conditions that can appear on the eyelid margin. It is impossible to diagnose without examination under a slit lamp microscope by an ophthalmologist. Eyelid styes, papillomas, blepharitis, even skin cancers can occur on the eyelid. If this bump is new, than you need to be examined by an ophthalmologist to determine the diagnosis and then further treatment. Good luck!
I want to have eyelids, to be blunt I'm a monolid, which means that I have no crease in my eye. Whatsoever. How can I get this fixed?
Yes: People of asian origin often lack a lid fold in the upper lid. In addition, there are various congenital conditions that may include an absent upper lid fold. Lid folds can be created with ophthalmic plastic surgical techniques. Sian.
My eyelids are wrinkled and get sweaty some days just in the crease. Is that just from the skin folding over? No health issues and face is not oily.
Upper eyelid: No. The folds or creases just trap the sweat from the brows. You are not sweating from your eyelid creases.
What's the minimum age to get Asian eyelid surgery? My daughter is 15, and she wants Asian eyelid surgery. She's been using tape to make a crease for about a year, so she's sure she wants the double-lid look. Is she too young? .
For: For an elective procedure, it is best for the patient to be able to consent to the procedure. A teenager usually has to wait until age 18. If there are functional issues, a case could be made to have a procedure before that.See 2 more doctor answers

Does wearing contacts make Asian eyelid surgery fail faster? I've heard that pulling on your eyelid to put in and take out contacts makes the crease formed by Asian eyelid surgery fall out faster. Is this right? I wear contacts, so should I not bother wit
Asian eyelid/lenses: In Asian eyelid surgery, a crease is formed in the upper lid by using suture for fixation of the levator aponeurosis. Patients are instructed to avoid using contact lenses so there isn't excessive pull or disruption of the sutures in the early post op period. It is better to wear glasses in this period.See 2 more doctor answers
