Yes: Lack of appropriate sleep will cause all the symptoms you mention. A few days dedicated to excluding all the worlds issues, pampering yourself into a better state of relaxation and trying to get 9-10 hours/ night for a while can be both confirmatory and therapeutic. If you have seen the doc and nothing treatable is causing the problem, get a sleep aid and use it. ...Read more

I'm suffering from generalized anxiety disorder and have the occasional anxiety attack usually from work stress. Any ssris you'd recommend?
Yes, but...: Recommending a specific agent among the ssris or another group for you without an evaluation would be akin to recommending specific engine repairs without doing any diagnostics or even knowing what kind of engine it is. Medicine is nothing more than a tool that must be applied and used in a specific way tailored to fit your specific needs. Haphazardly applying a random tool may just worsen things. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Anxiety or chronic fatigue syndrome. Had a bad panic attack 3weeks ago. Lately no interest in anything. Lack energy. Feel weak. Headaches.
Wake each am with racing heart. Afraid to do daily errands. No appetite. Fear of nothing being real. Fear of overstimulation leading to panic attack.
Measure your pulse: Do you feel that the racing heart awakens you or do you awaken and feel that your heart is racing? Either way, get a gadget that measures your blood pressure and pulse at the time your symptoms are happening. This would tell you if your heart is significantly racing(over 100 beats/minute). If so have a checkup, thyroid test, ekg and wear a heart monitor for 24 hours for more information. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Deep depression getting worse, no appetite welcoming back an eating disorder.. Weight gain, had discharge from eye.. Extreme anxiety..?
Go see your doctor: Go see your family doctor, psychiatrist and/or psychologist. Depression isn't something you want to tackle on your own. They can help you if you let them. Some respond to psychotherapy (talking) if mild & early. Others need assistance of medications. Studies show many will benefit from combination of both rather than just one or other. Most important, know that others care for & about you. ...Read more

Do people actually recover from panic disorder and other anxiety problems? I take ssri and understand CBT but still no relief
More than Understand: It's important to remember the other two letters in CBT. You may have the C w/ your understanding - but the B means guided Behavioral practice and it is critical. The T means therapy and that is not DIY. After a course of treatment, your therapist might think that you've advanced enough to try it on your own and just return for boosters if needed. These are real skills to acquire. Try it for real. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can a lack of dopamine cause anxiety?
Actual issues vastly: complex than any of the drugs or single neurotransmitters more complex such as dopamine. The actual issues are vastly more complex mind/mental issues encoded/represented within fantastically complex brain neural circuits. current understanding/neurotransmitter theories are very crude/superficial viewS of what is happening. Study some of V. S. Ramachandran's work for a bit better understanding. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Many causes...: Fatigue and sleep difficulties have SO many causes (not only physical but also emotional). My advice, stop the artificial attempts to increase energy (they are likely working against you). Drink 1 1/2 liters of water per day. Eat balanced clean diet. Exercise daily. Meditate. See your doctor if your symptoms are not improving to rule out medical causes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
