Insulin levels: Measurement of Insulin is not a very accurate assay if Insulin resistsance was correctly diagnosed before starting metformin then it will cause high Insulin levels usually despite the medicine to rule out Insulin ins you need high Insulin and a low blood sugar without the metformin on board and usually in a fasting state your results are not uncommon in the case you have. ...Read more

My g.P."blood work results normal", detail results flaged; mpv 7.2(low), %eosin 5.7(high), cpr 5.0 (high), free testost s 0.2 (low), anyguesseswillhelp!
CRP: The only one of those results that peaks my attention is the elevated crp. That indicates an inflammatory condition in your body and your doctor will probably have some ideas of what systems to further assess. The low testosterone isn't very specific so it should be repeated as a total and free testosterone in early A.M. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Fasting glucose 36mg/dl w/ fainting spells, after meal 82mg/dl, A1c 5.5 (math err?). Can a 8mm adrenal cyst cause hypoglycemia? Also-abd pain, acnes.
You don't: Have hypoglycemia after meals, as it's not a disease and doesn't exist in the absense of diabetes medication, cancer, end-stage liver or kidney disease, GI surgery, etc. If it's a finger-stick it's not accurate in that range. Your adrenal cyst is benign and has nothing to do with your complaints. Cyst should be followed over time. Glucose should be ignored ; it's a natural response to your obesity. ...Read more

Fasting insulin of 4ui/l with 80mg/dl but at 60 minutes insulin 43, 6ui/l with also 80mg/dl. fatigue, extreme weight gain. Hyperinsulism? IR? Why? Thanks
Insulin levels: testing is very unreliable and generally worthless. If you're obese and on metformin then you most likely are Insulin resistant, but at least your blood sugar is well controlled. Eat less, exercise more and lose weight. Make sure metformin dose is 2000 mg/d if you can tolerate it. Monitor your glucose and f/u with your doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
29 yo female start having hairs chin, (TSH, Testos, FSH, LH, DHEA, hba1c 5.2, fgp 4,6) normal, Low hdl, irreg periods, no FHX DM or hirsutism, 80kg-17?
Lab results "not fasting", glucose 117mg, Ac1 5.5%, Est Av Glucose 111, Insulin Inmuno 82.2 uIU/ml. Female, 33, 5'8, 208lbs, weighted 160 4-5 yrs ago.
Unclear question: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it is not likely that you have diabetes. However, the weight gain is not a sign of good health and you should try to lose weight (easier said than done). It may help to consult a nutritionist for advice. ...Read more

24 hours urinary free cortisol level(3 samples) is high, but acth (blood)is normal.Have I got Cushing's syndrome or these values depends to my obesity?
Depends on the level: but it's a reason to get a simple ultrasound to look at adrenals and ovaries. (a slight elevation of the cortisol is not very specific and while correlating with obesity which causes which gets ...tricky. A BIG elevation of it pretty much has to be from overproduction by the adrenals). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
