No: Sinusitis requiring surgical drainage will not produce systemic effects such as sweating of legs or night sweating. Latter is more of a systemic problem that might have resulted from progression of sinusitis. I had surgery last january to remove an enlarged lymph node, after the surgery the node biopsy was castlemans disease. I am still having night sweats.
Castleman's disease: Is what is known as a lymphoproliferative disease and not a cancer per se but can act like a lymphoma one of the symptoms of which is night sweats. It can later be associated with lymphoma and most often treated with chemotherapy. It is not a common disease. But I am sure your doctor will be going over all of this and more with you. Hives/angioedema abruptly 12 days post-microdiskectomy. Night sweats since surgery too. All infection tests (-). Delayed drug reaction? Off all meds.
I'm 49 and had my thyroid removed 5 mo. ago my levels are good but my tsh is on the low side i now haven't had a menstrual cycle for 3 months having hot flashes and night sweats. had this before surgery but as soon as tsh was higher body was normal ?
Thyroid: If you had your thyroid removed you must have had Synthroid (thyroxine) prescribed and that would have little, if any, impact on your TSH. Your main problem is likely to bean issue with your menstrual cycle and you should see a Gynecologist as soon as you can. Please let me know what develops. ...Read more
Not dangerous but fi: Night sweats can be due to fever coming on at night. So get your doctor to examine you and make sure that you do not have some degree of fever, especially at night. Find the cause first: If you are in general good health and has been evaluated already by your doc and nothing found, then you may have a genetically inherited condition called sleep hyperhidrosis..This often occurs in early adulthood. Menopausal syndrome is very common also after 40... For sleep hydrosis, trial of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 50-100mg before bed may help...If not, consult doc for other treatment options...
