Sesame seeds healthy: Nuts and seeds are excellent for anyone's health as long as they are not allergic to them. Even the so-called 'healthy' oil, olive oil is very high in omega-6 fats and really should only be used rarely, but whole foods like nuts and seeds can be used liberally as long as you are not overweight, trying to lose weight, or have ibs (irritable bowel syndrome) and even then if they are ground up. ...Read more

High prolactin : A high prolactin can suppress your other hormones and disrupt your normal ovarian function. Your physician might order a X-ray or MRI of your brain and they will possibly start you on some medication to lower your prolactin. These steps, of course, would be useless if you are breast feeding. ...Read more
Check ingredients: I see no reason why not. You might want to adjust recipes for more optimal healthful eating, such as reducing and substituting fats, and reducing sugars. If the recipes overly rely on a taste for meats and carbohydrate- and fat-heavy foods, it might be better to preserve as a keepsake than to cook from. ...Read more
Stop..: You should not be eating raw or undercooked meats/seafoods of any type during pregnancy. As far as tuna/salmon, you should limit consumption of mercury containing fish and seafood to at most twice a week. Raw foods just have too much potential for infectious disease, so for this nine months, give up the sushi and sashimi and cook your foods. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

White coat: Some people have white coat hypertension, where their BP is elevated only at the dr's office. Others have labile hypertension, where BP goes extremely high sporadically throughout the day. Monitor and record your BP at home.. Next time you see the dr, bring your machine and check BP with it in the office. If the dr's reading is same as yours, the machine is accurate & you can trust the low home bp. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Pos HSV2, neg HSV1: The lab report should have notations about this but maybe hard to understand (written for HCPs, not patients). With the usual HSV antibody tests, over 3.5 is definitely positive, and under 0.9 is negative. (Between those numbers, it's sometimes hard to know.) Almost certainly you are infected with HSV2, i.e. genital herpes, but probably not HSV1, which mostly causes oral herpes. See an STD expert. ...Read more
Small fish are good: Yes, sardines daily are great. High in protein and in omega-3 fats, sardines are also delicious. They do not accumulate mercury or toxins like large fish do: they do not get big enough. I recommend sardines, salmon and herring in this Wall Street Journal piece on longevity and omega-3s: http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052748703837004575013393566949312 ...Read more
