Vitamin B12 pills benefits and side effaces??

Vitamin B12 pills benefits and side effaces??

Take only if needed: If you are vitamin B12 defecient, then a B12 supplement can help with anemia and nerve function. If you are not B12 defecient, the it will not help. Overdosing of Vitamin B12 can cause nerve dysfunction, diarrhea, and other side effects. My general advice is that if you do not have a vitamin defeciency, the a general multivitamin once daily is all that you need. ...Read more

Find and Fix Causes: High LDL levels may result from overproduction of LDL particles, decreased clearance of LDL particles, or both. In some cases common LDL lowering medications are not sufficient to control high LDL levels. Consideration should be given to identifyihng genetic causes (familial hypercholesterolemia), or acquired medical problems (thyroid, renal, liver, glucose related disorders) that could be present ...Read more

Low level of vitamin B12 and vitamin d can cause IBS with diarrhea or IBS diarrhea causes low level of vitamin B12 and vitamin d?

Low B12: If you have low levels of b12- that needs to be investigated and treated. There is a cause for a low B12 level. Untreated it can lead to irreversible neurologic damage. While the cause can be dietary, there are more serious causes such as pernicious anemia- an autoimmune disease. So i suggest an investigation into why low b12. ...Read more

Is taking 5000 mcg of B12 daily safe and how much will this raise my serum B12 by?

Yes it is safe: But my question is why you are taking these doses. Raising the serum level does not really matter at all. It is the intracellular level that matters and we cannot measure that. It is your overall health that decides the issue. ...Read more

Dx and treated B12 def with lvl of 78 five yrs ago, but now ferritin 13 (12-250ug/l) and folate (folic acid) 6.3 (4-20ug/l), should these levels b supplemented?

Dx and treated B12 def with lvl of 78 five yrs ago, but now ferritin 13 (12-250ug/l) and folate (folic acid) 6.3 (4-20ug/l), should these levels b supplemented?

Iron: There is certainly no harm in supplementing your folate (folic acid) (must continue your b12!) but that level seems fine. Your ferritin level seems low and most likely indicates that there is not enough iron in your system. This too can lead to anemia. Iron supplements seem indicated. You should see your doctor to fully evaluated why your ferritin is low. ...Read more

Yes: The amounts that are in your multivitamin, so it is safe to take an additional b-complex and magnesium chloride. The question really should be if you need to take these. Are vitamin B6 and B12 shots good for weight loss?

No effect expected: Shots of vitamins b6, b12, or other vitamins should not have an effect on one's weight. The only way for a normal, overweight person to lose weight is to eat fewer calories than he uses up each day. His body will burn up fat to get the additional needed calories that he himself is not eating. ...Read more
