Elecare and neocate and allimentium all caused skin rash and mucus in infant. What options are left to feed him?
Formula: Neutramigen, but it is similar to Alimentum. I have heard reports that sometimes using the ready to feed, not powder, helps. Have you considered that it might be soaps? There is corn in formulas, but I don't think there are any formulas without some form of corn syrup, corn maltodextrin, or corn syrup solids. An allergist may be able to see what it is. Banked breast milk might be another option. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
My 3 month infant has a rash that keeps recurring after treating it with eucerin skin rash cream what could be causing the skin rash?
What are the possible causes of a yeast related skin rash in an infant? How long does it take to clear up with an ointment & is it contagious?
Part of life: Yeast is around us in the environment & by later infancy at least 5% of the dry weight of poo is yeast. The skin surface is resistant to yeast unless irritated or over hydrated ( like wearing diapers ). The yeast creates a rash when it takes the opportunity of a simple exposure & sets up housekeeping on irritated skin.Improvement with rx occurs within days. ...Read more
Infant had fever about 2 days up to 102.7 finally broke on day 2 but now has rash on head chest back and cries almost constantly?
Common patters: A lot of infant viral infections will have fever for a few days and end in a generalized rash. Some have names based on location and type of rash, but they are expected and rather benign.I'd consider the crying evidence it is not finished. As long as the kid takes fluids well and plays occasionally you can monitor at home.If not drinking the kid should be seen. ...Read more
Can the infant formula alimentum cause a rash around the mouth, which is worse if it lays in the babys skin?
What to do if I got quite red irritated skin and I just want to get skin like a babies bottom, obviously not the smell and nappy rash, as this wouldit!?
Baby skin: No, you probably don't want baby bottom skin!! Haha. Keep your skin clean, avoiding harsh soaps (including antibacterial soaps) and chemical irritants. Use SUNSCREEN!! If your skin is dry and irritated, use a good moisturizer regularly- no perfumes or colors. Don't scratch and pick at your skin. See your doctor for a regular check of your skin, especially for any moles, etc. that change. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Trust ur (kid's) doc: Candibec appears to be a combination steroid cream available in the philippines. It only works if the rash is responsive to it. While it can suppress immune response to infection, it won't get rid of infection. So your pediatrician must have a good reason to recommend it rather than antifungal or other cream. In other words, need to know cause of skin rash. Get 2nd opinion if you don't trust doc. ...Read more

Yes.: Diaper dermatitis will usually blanch when you press on it; it's a sign that the skin is inflamed, and the little tiny blood vessels in it have dilated to bring more blood to the area. The fastest treatment for diaper dermatitis is to take off the diaper. While that may mean somebody will have to follow the baby around with a pooper scooper, the rash will clear very quickly. ...Read more
What can cause a 1 year old child to develop alergies and rashes on its skin from mosquito bites?Does any skin cream help?
Mosquito bites: That's what mosquito's do - cause those huge local reactions, and in a rare person, even more widespread reactions. If i get a mosquito bite on my leg, it will often swell to the size of a small cup saucer. It's due to histamine release locally. Sometimes cool compresses to the area are helpful, but for such a large reaction, topical anti-itch meds probably won't do much. Could try oral benadryl, (diphenhydramine) . ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Red rashes on the face and head only of 11 month old baby boy after sun exposure on the beach temporal temperature is 36.6 and very alert pls. Advise.
Sounds like sunburn: A baby gets sunburn very easily. Even on a cloudy day, it is possible to get a sunburn, because uv light penetrates through clouds. I would strongly recommend to keep babies in a shade, not directly expose to any sunlight. A baby gets sunstroke more easily than older children as well. ...Read more
