Too fast for body: Often, taking only one active pill in the middle of the placebo we will not be enough to stop the bleeding. If not then schedule a visit to discuss changing brands or changing birth control methods. This is very common. Other than being annoying it is not dangerous. ...Read more

Most likely: It is break through bleeding. It is common for women to get break through bleeding when they start or change bcp. It usually goes away in several cycles. On the pill for 9 months. Medium heavy bleeding 5 days before placebos and no bleeding during placebos. Negative preg test? What is happening?
Thinned endomtrial: Lining. You had break through bleeding for some reason either you did not take the active pills on time or you missed one or some other reasons. Birth control pill thins the inner lining of the uterus. Your break thru bleeding made the thining even worse and by the time you heat to placebo pills there is almost no inner lining left. This is why you did not bleed during placebo. ...Read more
Sex 43 days ago. On pill doubled up after missed one first week. Light bleeding during placebo pills. Last couple weeks hpt and blood test say negative. Could I be pregnant. Have some symptoms but have tendency to worry?
Unlikely: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. Thus, pregnancy in this case is very unlikely. ...Read more

If you took your...: ... active pills while you were on your period, then you may have none left. If you wait another week to start your next pack, you could ovulate during that cycle. BCP: interrupted: Some antibiotics can interfere with the estrogen in the pill, causing some bleeding. If you took placebos three days later, and took seven, and started a new pack, there is minimal chance of pregnancy. I was on a Amoxicillin for 5days. Had bleeding so started placebo pill 4days later. Took 7. Had sex on first active pill on new pack. Risk of pregnancy?
Very low!: I never make guarantees, but your chances of pregnancy are extremely low if you have not taken off more than 7 days of active pills. Although pharmacists often say that antibiotics can reduce the efficacy of birth control, the studies were done on a different type of antibiotic (not related to Amoxicillin), and no other studies have had the same conclusions. I wouldn't worry any more than normal. ...Read more
