My son is almost three months. What are the normal temps for him and what are the temps for a fever. Thanks. Iam a new mom.?
Varies: The normal temperature varies a bit during the day with it's lowest value between 4-6 am & highest about 4 pm.We normally expect the core or rectal temperature of a 3 mo to run 98-100 with levels <97 being low and >100.4 considered high. ...Read more
My sons 5'11.His moms 5'7 i'm 6'1.His moms dad is 6'5.Hes always been tall last year he was 5'7 how tall will he be in at14.And an estimate of adult?
That was the routine: Up until about that time they never did.The early use of any local anesthetic, injected to numb the penile nerve, was met with concern. What if the penis never worked right when they grew up? Over time, the experience of other docs led the way to the practice now.But I recall a doc asking me not to do so for his kid after I did so routinely. He doesn't remember it.If he's acting odd, that didn't do it ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Weight: At 15 years and 5"5" your son is about 1 standard deviation below the mean, well within normal limits. Average weight would be about 110lbs. If you are concerned about his growth/height/weight please ask his Pediatrician/General Physician, the professional that knows him best. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How tall will my son be.Hes 12 and 5, 11 1/2.Mom 5'7.Im 6'2.Hes always growing and has always been tall. His moms dad is 6'4.My dads 6'0.?
Depends: At this point the kids predicted height based on normal growth is 6'1" , but to reach 5'11" at 12 would suggest he will be taller. If his bone maturity index (obtained from hand x-ray) shows a 12 yr pattern & not 17, then he has potential for about 2.5 inches/yr until done. You can download a growth chart from www.Cdc.Gov/growthcharts & follow this by plotting his heights at different ages. ...Read more
My son is about 4'9 and almost 11 1/2. I am 5'2 and dad is 6'3. My mom is 4'9. She was never diagnosed with anything. Worried he will be short.
Average expected: Your son is on course to reach 5'10" to 5'11" or average male height,if he continues on his past growth rate. Your mom may or may not have had any issues.Your final height would have been expected to be the average of your parents less 2.5 inches. Her input likely held you back if your father was average height ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
All my life my mom has given away what I treasured, momentos, cats, puppies. Since he was little, she has tried to buy my son. Now shes succeeding....?
Not sure of question: Sounds like giving things away a child likes and treasures would not win that child over. Is mom is giving your son "treasures" to win him over? What could be the difference in mom's eyes between now and then? Is it intentional? Is mom aware? Can anyone talk to her reasonably? Be open and kind if asking her about it. Most important is continuing a loving strong bond with your son. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My sons a migit.Hes 12 (5'10).He used to grow just about every month.Now he's slowing down.In 6 grade he was 5'7.Is he done growing.Mom (5'7) dad(6'1)?
My sis step son calls me mom.At his moms full time she ignores him a lot should I stop him or just ignore it and <3 him don't want him to feel unloved?
It's OK: If this child feels that close bond to you enough to call you mom, please don't burst his bubble. He already is dealing with step and blended family situations and is likely feeling very insecure about who is who and who really loves him. I'd go so far as to tell him you just love when he calls you mom, and let him know your door is open for him to talk, confide and take comfort with any time. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
