Maybe chickenpox?: I assume your son has not had chickenpox vaccine. If he has similar rash on the body, and itchy, and also if he has a cold symptoms , it may be chickenpox. With or without fever. Did anyone in the house or his playmates have the same thing? Chickenpox in samll children is a benign condition, itching is sometimes a problem and may cause secondary bacterial infection.
