My Wife is experiencing swollen face, jaw pain and warm skin (warm enough to melt an ice pack after 10 mins of use) on her left cheek. She just had her bottom left wisdom tooth pulled yesterday. Is being that warm normal?
I have a super sore throat. I had a white spot on the back of my throat where my tonsil used to be. (I got a tonsillectomy a few years back) Now the area has swollen up into a painful lump. I have an earache as well.
Dr. Can check throat: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is "super sore", recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). Some throat lozenges and Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin can decrease throat pain. ...Read more
"Eat what I eat! ": That's the answer one doctor gives to this tough question. But it can be as hard to gain for some people as it is for others to take off weight. To gain one pound in a week, eat 500 calories each day over what you normally eat, and keep your activity level about the same. But eat nutritious food, not "junk." think healthy smoothies, yogurt. Adding a bowl of oatmeal each day is a start. ...Read more
Diet and exercise: Fad and crash diets rarely work and often result in regaining weight in a pattern which is actually likely bad for your health. Gradual wieght loss through better diet and a good exercise program may result in slower loss, but if you achieve lifestyle changes, something that is more likely to work in long run. Of course this assumed you need to lose weight. Consult your doctor before diet! ...Read more

Light-headed?: Unbalanced? If a person feels light-headed after getting up, he may be getting up faster than his blood can flow to his head. His dr. Can evaluate and check for low blood pressure. ...Read more
