Nerve Tingling After Yoga
Regeneration after footdrop?Peroneal nerve was affected. Muscles twitches with dorsi, tingling. I feel like stretching leg and back all time. Feedbac
The brain and spinal cord communicates with what is occurring in the internal organs and limbs by nerve fibers where are like electrical wires with insulation (myelin) and the "copper" (axon). Within brain and spinal cord these nerves connect to other nerves via synapses on both axons and dendrites. A nerve can carry information regarding sensations, and ...Read more
Yes: You describe symptoms of radiculopathy which is when a nerve malfunctions due to some type of pressure on the nerve. You should see your family md for evaluation and they can do an MRI for evaluation. Of course, before surgery, you should try physical therapy and epidural steroid injections if possible. ...Read more
Unlikely: This would not be common. The sciatic nerve is a very deep structure and injury from im injection would be difficult unless the patient is very thin. The location if im injection in the gluteus is often in the upper outer region well away from the nerve. ...Read more
Meralgia : You describe an issue with lateal femoral cutaneous nerve of thigh, c/w compression at pelvis, which causes all of your symptoms. Benign, but annoying, and you could take nerve pain suppressant meds, but if you avoid tight clothes, belts about waist, may well find slow remission. Check with your doctor to confirm these comments. ...Read more
What causes left side facial and extremity numbness/tingling during and after exercise? Tingling turns to pain. Pins and needles feeling after a few
Doesn't fit...: Symptoms seem to be related to nerve impingement. Facial nerves are different than neck nerves, though, which are the nerve supply to the arm. If the symptoms are more on the neck below the jaw, and not the face, i'd suggest the possibility of a cervical herniated or bulging disc. Suggest you see primary care doc or ed doc to get a good test for areas involved to figure out nerve distribution. ...Read more
Tingling, tickling, buzzing, throughout left leg with twitches and pinch feelings. Had chiropractor adjustment last week. Could it be nerve?
Could be: It certainly could be a herniated disc causing lumbar radiculopathy. A formal exam by a pm;r doctor or other spine specialist could help to determine if that is true lumbar radiculopathy or something else mimicing it (piriformis syndrome with sciatica for instance). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Could my quadratus muscle be aggravating my sciatic nerve? Had discetomy 3 months ago. Started IMS and the quadratus causes a zing down my leg
Pinched sciatic nerve. Neg emg test. Vibration sensation in foot. Would cortisone shot relieve vibration and enpingment? Have done pt for 5 months.
Dug driveway, heavy shoveling & wheelbarrow use. Pain, numbness, weakness in hands & arms daily life is difficult. Will massages help a pinched nerve?
Herniated disc: Skip the massage and go to the doctor first. The weakness and numbness in the hands is a sign of spinal cord compression. A ruptured disc due to shoveling may be making your "life difficult". A visit to the doctor and an MRI of the cervical spine is a priority before a massage. Do not go to a chiropractor for an adjustment until spinal cord compression is excluded. ...Read more
Herniated cervical disc c5-c6 touch nerves. After 5 months physio, no more tingling sensation on arm. Still neck pain often. What else can be done?
Plenty: Hopefully you have tried anti-inflammatory medications, either over the counter, or by prescription. Make sure the doses were adequate. We sometimes use short courses of steroids by mouth. Alternately there are epidural steroid injections, aimed in the neck where it hurts. Don't forget a neck pillow at night. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

There's no pain, but once in awhile a tingling sensation in the elbow, ring/pinky& lil in shoulder blade. Pinch nerve? ulnar nerve problem? treatment?
I have a herniated disc at c6c7 pinching a nerve causing cervical radiculopathy down my arm. Will the pain and numbness go away suddenly or gradually?
Bilateral stinging pain along ulnar nerve paths in forearms and brachial plexus when sneezing, could it be nerve root compression aggravated by sneeze?
Ulnar nerve: We could be a combination of things, it could be irritation of your owner nerve at the elbow and every time you sneeze the jerking motion causes the nerve to be irritated, it is also possible that you could have nerve root compression in the lower cervical spine causing the symptoms due to disk space collapse and irritation of both nerves be due to narrowing of the opening or foramen this will cause irritation and discomfort. Either way in a valuation by your family doctor or orthopedic surgeon may be of benefit to help determine the cause and temporarily anti-inflammatory medications may be a benefit and avoidance of activities that cause the discomfort ...Read more
Feet maybe, hands no: The sciatic nerve runs from the gluteal region (your rear end) down the back of your leg, then branches to innervate the back of the thigh and leg as well as the outer part of the lower leg and then parts of the feet. An injury may cause those symptoms there, as well as problems with motion. The major nerves that serve the hands are the radial, ulnar and median. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
