Since 2 weeks I have lot of bone and nerve pain around elbow region of both hands.the nerve pain extends to ring finger. 31 yr male. Is this serious?

Consider: The radiation to your ring finger raises question of ulnar nerve compression at elbow in cubital tunnel, but the focal elbow issues seem primary and maybe medial or lateral epicondylitis, bursitis, or even a boney or joint issue. Wonder if some of this evolved due to primary B-12 problems. ...Read more

There : There are two nerves that may be injured in cases like you described. It does depend on the area of trauma and the type of fracture. They are radial nerve or the ulnar nerve. They present with different distribution of the pain. It is difficult to provide more details in this answer without more clinical information. Can a pinched nerve in elbow cause pain in shoulder/shoulder blade area?

Can a pinched nerve in elbow cause pain in shoulder/shoulder blade area?

No: A pinched nerve around the elbow will only cause problems from the elbow down to the fingers. However, the same symptoms often represent a pinched nerve in the neck, which can feel like a pinched nerve in the elbow. Many of these resolve on their own. If it persists, you can get it examined to get a clearer answer. ...Read more

Right arm nerve(?) pain last 5 days from elbow to pinky, more pain than tingling/numbness, left ankle has buzzing feeling on/off like blood flowing..?

Thots: Regarding right arm, sounds like possible nerve compression at elbow, consistent with a cubital tunnel syndrome affecting the ulnar nerve. Left ankle issue very nonspecific, and unable to interpret without more information. Best to see your doctor and get both addressed. ...Read more

Saw 2 pa's one said cervical nerve, one said entrapped nerve, now pain in my elbow and below (right arm) index and middle fingers numb and tingling?

Both are right: You likely have a compression of the nerve that runs from your neck to the fingers.....Either where it originates in the neck or somewhere along the course of the nerve, such as near the elbow. You will likely need a test called an EMG to pinpoint where the problem is located. ...Read more

Can ulnar nerve pain cause bicep and tricep pain? Also have pain on both sides of elbow/wrist. Carpal tunnel was released on same arm 4 months ago.

Can ulnar nerve pain cause bicep and tricep pain? Also have pain on both sides of elbow/wrist. Carpal tunnel was released on same arm 4 months ago.

May not be ulnar: The ulnar nerve can cause pain through out its distribution in your arm, but your pain does not fit only ulnar pain. Carpal tunnel syndrome is related to your median nerve. To have both median nerve and ulnar nerve issues, you most likely have an issue upstream of those nerves not specifically with the median or ulnar, either brachial plexus issue or cervical radiculopathy. Emg should be done. ...Read more
