I have a bi-lateral nephrostomy; since june, 2012. The urine on the right is now like syrup and also is the same when i urinate. Normal?

May not be normal: Nephrostomy tubes often get cloudy or lightly bloody drainage. It may need to be flushed. If still draining urine, they are probably still in the correct place. If you are feeling fine (no fevers, flank pain, etc) then i would recommend against checking a urinalysis - it will certainly be positive since the tubes are connected to the outside world and you will get unnecessary antibiotics. ...Read more
