See a doctor...: Post-pill amenorrhea is a known problem. Most of the time, a woman's cycle returns within 3 months of stopping the pill. Sometimes it can take 6. At this point, i would suggest you see your doctor to have tests to make sure there is no other reason your cycle has not restarted. Might need a jumpstart (especially if you are hoping to get pregnant). ...Read more

No, not ideal: It sounds like you are saying that you are on the pill, and would like to take a week of pills from a different brand of pills. There are an incredible variety of birth control pills to choose from, they differ in terms of the amount of estrogen and the type / amount of progesterone.
