See dentist: You may have a jaw problem from grinding or clenching your teeth especially when sleeping. Suggest you get your jaws checked. If nothing there, then perhaps a MRI may be in order if the problem has been present for more than a few weeks or is getting worse.

Left neck under ear has off and on dull pain throughout the day, also very localized left shoulder pain, but not muscular, and not tender to touch.

Neck pain: There are several structures within the neck that could be the cause of discomfort. Muscle, ligaments, lymph nodes, carotid artery, thyroid gland, vertebra, nerves, etc. If your symptoms persist have an examination by your physician.

Can a trapped nerve in shoulder or neck cause pain behind the ear and in face?

Yes it could.: The nerves which give sensation to the back of the scalp come from the upper three nerve roots of your neck area. If one of these are "trapped" it could cause pain. Tightness on left side of head, shoulder and heaviness on left neck & ear subsides after lying down. Y?

Tightness on left side of head, shoulder and heaviness on left neck & ear subsides after lying down. Y?

You need an exam: Tightness on one side of the head and shoulder along with neck and ear heaviness, that is relieved by lying down, suggest a mechanical cause. It may be due to several possibilities. These would include, among others, muscle strain in the neck/shoulder area and possibly a pinched nerve coming from your neck. Although the latter would usually cause pain, when turning your head to either side.

Hi I have this pain in my right side of neck especially wen I breath in an u can fell it in the side of face, ear and shoulder aswell!

See a doctor soon: This could be nothing but muscle sprain or spasm but I cant help but worry that something more serious may be going on in the chest. I would want to see a chest xray or an electrocardiogram if there is any doubt. It's worth looking into

Uncertain: This information is somewhat vague. More history would be required as well as physical evaluation to try to pin this one down. Take care.

Interscapular pain from shoulder blades (both) all the way up to my neck both sides. Even up behind my ears. How to make go away, and will it go awa?

Depends on cause: Most neck and back pain is muscular. It could be due to strain or tension. I recommend a hot shower (not so hot you burn yourself, be careful) or a hot bath. Massage is also a good way to work out muscular causes. If you live in nyc, there are a number of places that do massage. If these don't work, see a doctor.
