Depends: It really depends on what the diagnosis is. There are some conditions in which more pain may be expected, such as in rehab for a frozen shoulder. There are other conditions therapy might inadvertently worsen such as a complete cuff tear or a cervical disc herniation. You should probably be checked. It : It sounds like you may have an irritated nerve accounting for your weakness. A nerve may be pinched in your neck due to a disc problem or bone spur. However, the pain in the front of your chest is not the typical pattern for a pinched nerve in the neck. If you have on-going chest pain or shortness of breath, you should be evaluated immediately for a cardiac problem. The neck pain and arm weakness make more sense anatomically. You should see a physician who can evaluate this and make recommendations for further testing (such as and mri) and further treatment (such as physical therapy). Until the cause of this is clarified and until the source of chest pain is identified, I am hesitant to recommend any home treatment. ...Read more
