I am having acute right shoulder and neck pain. Now taking ift and ultrasound therapy. Pain increases after strength exercises.Should i continue?
Depends: It really depends on what the diagnosis is. There are some conditions in which more pain may be expected, such as in rehab for a frozen shoulder. There are other conditions therapy might inadvertently worsen such as a complete cuff tear or a cervical disc herniation. You should probably be checked. It : It sounds like you may have an irritated nerve accounting for your weakness. A nerve may be pinched in your neck due to a disc problem or bone spur. However, the pain in the front of your chest is not the typical pattern for a pinched nerve in the neck. If you have on-going chest pain or shortness of breath, you should be evaluated immediately for a cardiac problem. The neck pain and arm weakness make more sense anatomically. You should see a physician who can evaluate this and make recommendations for further testing (such as and mri) and further treatment (such as physical therapy).
