Not normal: You should see your doctor about this. The symptoms of sharp pain when tilting your head back is worrisome for some type of nerve entrapment or infection. Radiculopathy: It sounds like a disc has herniated in your neck or some other issues closing off the opening your nerve roots run through to exit the cervical spine. These are classic symptoms and I recommend seeing a physician sooner than later to identify if there is anything emergent or surgical necessity to avoid arm paralysis. It could be: Something serious, when you have this much pain in these different areas. I don't think any home remedies would help if you had it for 2 weeks already. Ask a doctor for a discount if you don't have health insurance coverage. Most doctors will try to help you even if you can't pay the full fee. ...Read more

Do a google search of neck muscle anatomy (look for photos) and try to figure out which of the strap muscles is in the location of your pain.
