Many reasons?: Conceivable that there is post-op scarring which has involved nerves in the brachial plexus, and this could cause both arm numbness and headache. Well, yes: cannot say in your particular case without direct exam. AND large vessel autoimmune diseases are treated with high dose steroids. High dose steroids are effective in large vessel disease. Other therapies (anti-rejection drugs, monoclonal antibodies) are being evaluated and likely to be helpful, but are not known definitely to work yet. ...Read more
