Drs dissected carotid artery during a procedure 2 yrs ago. Now I have neck pain, numbness in left arm, headache. Why?
Many reasons?: Conceivable that there is post-op scarring which has involved nerves in the brachial plexus, and this could cause both arm numbness and headache. 2 months since biopsy have Headache, dizziness, tachycardias, neck pain after cervical lymph node biopsy, could my carotid artery have been injured.
Not really: Anything is possible but the injury would be unlikely, it would have been readily apparent if it happened at the time of biopsy and your symptoms are not consistent with a carotid eatey injury so I would guess your carotid artery is fine. ...Read more

Well, yes: cannot say in your particular case without direct exam. AND large vessel autoimmune diseases are treated with high dose steroids. High dose steroids are effective in large vessel disease.
