See below: Sounds like a fever. Is neck just sore or also stiff? Any sore throat, sinus pain/pressure, headache? Have you been immunized against meningitis? Use cool cloths to cool head; NSAID (aleve/advil/motrin/etc) or tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever & pain.
