Neck Pain After Appendectomy
Position: While shoulder pain is often attributed to irritation if the diaphragm by carbon dioxide gas uses in laparpscopy, back pain is most often a consequence of laying down flat on your back without moving while under general anesthesia. It should be self limited, and when postop pain permits, some back stretching may help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
An appendectomy is surgery to remove the appendix. The appendix is a small, finger-shaped organ extending from the first part of the large intestine. It is removed when it becomes inflamed or infected. A perforated appendix can leak and infect the entire abdominal area, which can be life-threatening. An appendectomy is done under general anesthesia, which means you are asleep and do not feel any pain during the surgery. The surgeon makes a small cut in the lower right side of your belly area ...Read more

3 days ago after sex I've suffered with Lower right abdominal pain back pain and pain while walking&sitting down?
Air?: It could be that air was pushed inside the abdomen through the uterus, through the fallopian tubes. It shouldn't be an infection, you wouldn't get one that fast. It could be a problem with the ovary or appendix but less likely, they would be very severe. ...Read more
Bleeding after intercourse and right side pain. Partial laproscopic hysterectomy 9 years ago. Belly button pain as well.
3 problems: 1. Bleeding after intercourse in some one who has had a hysterectomy is not common. The doctor will need to do an exam to determine where the bleeding is coming from since you have no uterus. 2. Right sided pain if severe and/or associated with nausea, fever or vomiting could indicate appendicitis and prompt evaluation is needed. 3. Umbilical pain (belly button) could indicate a hernia. ...Read more
Good question!: If the back pain started with your surgery, that's a good question, and one to ask your doctor. If you had the pain before the surgery, the pain probably wasn't caused by your gallbladder. So your doctor needs to investigate other causes for the pain. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Could lower back pain that radiates around hip to 4 1/2 month iguinal laproscopic hernia repair be olioiguinal nerve pain or reoccurrence ?
Doubtful: While it is possible, it doesn't sound like that type of pain. Ilioinguinal nerve is also well away from the space where a laparoscopic inguinal hernia is. It could come in to play however if a tack was placed too deeply at the upper outer edge of the mesh. See your surgeon to find out if its bad enough. Recurrence would be more likely if there is a return of preop symptoms or a reducible bulge. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Larascopic gallbladder surgery 4 weeks ago. After 2wks shoulder pain, pain just below ribs on right side and in midback. Could it be a trapped nerve?
Check with your doc: If this is newly developing, there sometimes may be fluid collection around the liver after the surgery. There are different things that can lead to this, so difficult to tell you simply hear. But the sensory nerves for that part of the body refer pain to the right shoulder - so the right shoulder pain has to do with the area around the liver. Definitely speak with your physician. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Commonly seen: In laparoscopic surgery, the abdomen is inflated with carbon dioxide (CO2) gas to make a "cave" that the surgeon can see/work in. At the end of the case, the CO2 gas is removed, but invariably, some remains beneath the diaphragms. The "pain" nerves of the shoulder are the same as the diaphragm. Therefore, patients often complain of shoulder pain after laparoscopic surgery. ...Read more

24 days post op gallbladder removal. Pain when stretching or sitting slouched left side of belly button. Just started yesterday.

Don't push your body, back off on your activities, get more rest, take it easy and expect some discomfort here and there from time to time.
