I get pretty bad muscle pain in my shoulders, neck and back whenever I drink alcohol. It happens shortly after I drink, like within an hour. Why?

Going out on a limb: I live in a tree, so this is what I do. The serious answer is some people get breakdown of muscle tissue with alcohol (rhabdomyolysis).
