My neck is longer than the normal people. Are there any ways to shorten it? Exercise or ?

Can exercise shorten your neck?

No: The neck is composed of 7 vertebra. They don't lengthen or shorten. Perception of a short neck is from added muscle mass or adipose tissue in obese people. If you are exercising to build a lot of muscle, it might appear as if the the neck shortens. On the other hand, if you are exercising to lose weight, it may appear as if your neck will lengthen. ...Read more

Can a bad slip and fall on a neck cause a thyroid problem because I have rapidly gained weight without diet or exercise change?

However, the stress/emotional trauma that you may deal with afterwards could trigger many causes of weight gain, which could include hormonal imbalances or even thyroid imbalance. The best way to know for sure is to see a doctor so he/she can discuss this with you further and order the appropriate tests. Best wishes. ...Read more
