Need more info.: These side effects more than likely will not abate until you either stop the Effexor (venlafaxine) or reduce the dose.. DO NOT do this until advised so by your physician. How fast was weaning: Given your cardiac conditions get checked asap. Also what was the reason for weaning off the clonazepam? If you were not on a high dose and it was helping then if it ain't broke why fix it? However if you were have problems with sedation, memory etc. Then perhaps the tapering schedule was too fast. Sometimes only lowering of the dose can be achieved and not total discontinuation. ...Read more

These symptoms two weeks later could be indicative, worst case scenario of course, of swelling, blood or fluid about the brain which might require immediate evaluation.
