Fainted w strong pain after eating when I had ovarian cyst. Doc said likely torsion. Removed. Got recurrence 5cm, had strong pain after eating. Same?
Correct diagnosis?: Eating to fill stomach does nothing to do with ovarian torsion although it may occur and recur at any given time. So, focus on watching and recording to log what you eat and drink so hopefully to pin-point any food-related incompatibility. If not helpful, collect the feature, degree, and progress of all related symptoms with their detailed sequence of events, and bring those to see doc... ...Read more

Can a 2cm ovarian cyst on rt side cause sharp intermitten pain along with nausea and vomiting off and on? Appendix showed normal.
Not Likely: Each month, ovulation causes the development of a dominant follicle that may measure 2-3 cm in size. This is a normal activity for the ovary. Larger cysts or a ruptured cyst could cause the symptoms you mention. Pelvic infection also could. You should see your doctor for evaluation if you have had the symptoms for a while. ...Read more

Can the morning after pill cause an ovarian cyst and cause it to burst? Took it 5 days ago, and after sex I got a really sharp ovarian pain and nausea
Have an exam: The pill would not cause a cyst or burst one, but your pain needs attention. While there, get good info on this entire issue. Don't use that pill as birth control. Do use protection for STDs as well as pregnancy. Do learn how to take good care of yourself - it will pay off for decades to come. Best wishes! ...Read more
Is a painful, 3.6 ovarian cyst bad for 32 yo after partial hysterectomy in April2015? Spotting, nausea, pressure, low appetite, fullness, freq. Urination
Bad versus good: An documented ovarian cyst that produces pressure is not uncommon. However you don't say if the cyst is 3.6 centimeters or inches. Moreover, your symptom complex with urinary frequency, and vaginal spotting post hysterectomy indicate a need to be examined more thoroughly to rule out something else by your MD including bowel or urinary tract issues. ...Read more
Pain on left side feels like trapped gas and it is felt on both lower and upper quadrants (low rib and underneath) Usually every few months after eating. Area hurts if pressed on. Could endometriosis or ovarian cysts be causing it?
Splenic flexure: The colon takes a sharp 90 degree turn under the left rib cage and this splenic flexure is the site of trapped gas at times. Applying heat to the abdomen and drinking hot water helps break down the gas enabling you to pass it. Taking simethicone after meals helps prevent gas build up. If these measures relieve your distress, it would rule out the other diagnoses. ...Read more

14 days ago, got period 3 days late and lesser in severity. Experiencing cramps, nausea, dizziness. Feel I have an ovarian cyst but do hpt in case?
HPT: Will put you mind at ease. It always amazes me to hear that women say they feel a cyst forming because by all rights that should not be possible. Maybe you burst a follicular cyst when you ovulated, that causes lower abdominal pain usually on one side because it was the side you ovulated from and if bad enough some have had nausea and dizziness with that too. When you burst a follicular cyst blee. ...Read more
I have 4-5 cm ovarian cyst causing nausea and low back pain. Dr wants to follow up in 6 weeks with ultrasound. Should I be concerned it is cancerous?
Lifetime risk of cancer is 1 in 60-90. Small odds. It usually strikes women after the age of 45. There are other findings on an ultrasound that can suggest if its a benign or malignant looking cyst. If your gyn feels its safe to follow in 6 weeks, that's a normal approach.

Pregnancy or ovarian cyst? Protected sex june 26, period july 9. Preg test july 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 31 all negative. Pelvic lower back discomfort, nausea.
Needless worrying: I think you already know the answer. But, here is what I read. You did not get exposed to semen and thus could not possibly be pregnant. But, you still did six pregnancy tests that were unnecessary since you did not get exposed to semen.... Thus it is not pregnancy. I don't mean to criticize but the reason you use birth control like condoms is to not worry like this. Right? ...Read more
