Natural Insemination Donor Wanted
IVF/PGD: As you get older, you have fewer normal eggs and the success with ivf may be lower. Still, there is a fair chance for success if you can retrieve and create normal embryos. Typically, more embryos may be transferred to improve the chance for success. However, pgs (preimplantation genetic screening) may allow you to identify and transfer normal embryos. This will increase chance for delivering. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

An office procedure: Insemination in an office setting is a short safe procedure. A speculum exam is done (like a Pap smear), the cervix prepped, and a very small soft catheter (tubing) inserted through the cervix to introduce the sperm. Most specialists put sperm inside the uterus (IUI), although it can also be deposited in the cervix (ICI). Most women describe the procedure as trivial to minor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Ttc for second time (1st was in vitro) unexplained infertility.Had 2 failed insemination first time..Should i try robitussin (guaifenesin)? Can it happen naturally?
Do you mean ICSI?: Icsi (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) injects a single sperm into each egg; with conventional in vitro fertilization (ivf) we just mix eggs and sperm in the lab and let natural fertilization occur. 3 reasons for icsi 1. Abnormal sperm tests pre-treatment/ on day of egg retrieval 2. Surgically retrieved sperm 3. Reduce errors in pgd testing for single gene conditions. Otherwise icsi doesn't help. ...Read more
It varies!: Insemination, or iui, has success rates that will vary a lot according to such factors as the woman's age, presence of endometriosis, and quantity/quality of sperm being inseminated.
